TGIF?

Another Friday and another week that has gone by way too fast. It seems like just yesterday we were wandering the streets in Loudonville the day before the Mohican 100 getting ready for the race. I've told a few people that I believe the weeks go by faster now that I'm chasing two kids under five years old around at home. In the past a work week would drag along and be endless with the weekend never seeming to come. I could almost use a nine day week just to get everything done that I need to.

This morning I'm off to work in about an hour to finish installing and dialing in my new Rotor 2x9 Q-Rings that I got a few weeks ago. I was able to get a set for my brother Mark and I'm hoping to test them out tonight at the WORS WORLD HEADQUARTERS single track when I go out to help Don with a few things. It will be interesting to see how the 40-27 rings work up front compared to having a triple with a 42-32-22. Gear inch wise with a 34 tooth big cog on the cassette we're only loosing a couple of low gear inches and on the top end only a few also with the 11 tooth cog. In 2006 I used Q-Rings for 24 hour nationals and the 24 hour world championships. I think the the WORS Big Ring event this coming Sunday will be a good test even though my big ring has gotten a few teeth smaller. I'll definitely post my findings after the race for those who are curious. Pedal on...

ROTOR sent me a set of rings, but they won't work. When the crankset is installed properly, the large chainring rubs the chainstay. Bummer.

That's not cool! On a better note, lots and lots of Ergon grips at the Mohican last weekend...
