Busy Weekend
For anyone interested, checkout enduranceradio.com for an interview with Eddie O'Dea who is an accomplished endurance mountain bike racer finishing 1st in several mountain biking endurance races in 2005 including the Churn & Burn 24 Hour Solo and Southern Lights 24 Hour Solo. This is a great interview that looks into what goes into racing 24 hour events.

Today is a recovery day with commuting being the only time on the bike. Tomorrow is the Waupaca Flanders Spring Classic training ride which should net a centuries worth of mileage with riding to Amherst for the ride start and back home after the ride. I need to go through my road bike this morning after the last weeks worth of crap for weather which has accumulated on the frame and components making the bike weigh more than it should. At this point the chain will never rust with the multiple layers of three or four different chain lubes thrown on before the last few wet rides.

Sunday is also the first trail work day at Standing Rocks County Park. That will go from 3-6pm with the emphasis being on getting most of the fallen trees and braches off the trails as we are getting closer to the May 1st opening. These trail work days will be every Sunday for the month of April.
