42 years = 42 miles

It's getting tough as I get older, but I dragged my sorry butt out of the warm and dry house to keep my b-day mileage streak alive at eleven years. This years ride was overcast with winds gusting out of the South at 15-20+ mph. I did get wet and somewhat chilled in the last 15 miles when a steady rain appeared from the dark looming clouds that seemed to shadow whatever direction I rode. The only positives from this b-day ride was climbing Morgan Hill, the tailwind for the last eight miles that made cruising at 30mph fairly easy, and knowing that at my age I can still be this active without keeling over. I may be older than dirt, but at least I'm having fun...

Thanks Jay! I'm looking forward to the WORS Series starting up so we can hang around with all you Fast Hayes Team mountain bikers again.

Show me the fast guys. The hanging around with the gang should be fun again though.
