Cold, Wet & White
My week has been thrown into a downward spiral with this sudden change of weather.  Last week we were basking in sunny 80d days until winter rose from its shallow grave again for a few more breaths of below freezing mornings with rain and snow falling over the last three days.  While posting this, it's a balmy 20d outside with a forecast showing that we might hit the high 50's by mid-afternoon.  I'll believe it when I leave work today after I decide what layers of cycling clothing will be appropriate for my road ride.  This is the karma that we all deserve in the Midwest after a spectacular month of March cycling.  The weather can hopefully only get better as we head through April with a little luck...

***Important Dates***

**Trail Work
Trail work at Standing Rocks starting at 3pm -5:30pm this Sunday April 11th.  Meet at the Tower Rd parking lot and work on the trails west of Tower Rd.  If you have a leaf blower please bring it along with a rake.  Other items you may need are a bow saw, gloves, water and tick repellent. The Point Pursuit Mtb Club will provide Subway sandwiches and beverages to those who work the full 2.5hrs.  Please let Jim know if you're planning on coming at 715-824-6747.

**HBNSC Spring Classic Training Ride
 Point du Nord
*Hell of the North*
(68/110 miles/kilometers)

9:00 AM

Stevens Point Library, Downtown Stevens Point

The Ride: Head out to the north of Stevens Point on a very challenging route. The 68-mile loop through northern Portage and southern Marathon Counties is primarily flat, but contains no fewer than 10 road segments of Wisconsin cobble (gravel) roads. CAUTION: This ride emulates the cobbled classic Paris-Roubaix--the "Hell of the North"--so over half of this ride is on sand/gravel roads.
