2009 US 24 Hour Nationals????

New dates for US 24 hour nationals & Ultra-endurance calendar were announced on CyclingNews.com yesterday. This is good news for me as now it won't conflict with the Chequamegon Fat Tire Fest in September. Now I just need to work on getting a small chunk of days off from work and figure out who can make it out to Phoenix to be part of my pit crew...

The Update:
The USA Cycling 24 hour national championships, originally scheduled for September 19-20 have been moved to October 24-25 and a new venue. They will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, under the guidance of promoter Tucson Racing.

October that's gonna be right in the middle of cross season and damn, it gets dark early in October. I'm thinking hard about making it, flights are cheap and easy to Phonenix, maybe we fly cross bikes out and make a go of it

ugh...This is a race I want and have to do. However, I'll be fresh into full-time student teaching. Not too sure I'll be able to be able to set time aside for such a big race without getting into mucho trouble.

Time will tell...

If you need any help or need to ship stuff out here, I can give you a hand. Trails around the valley are a good time, although I do miss singletrack with trees. Cheers - Adam (adamfreihoefer@yahoo.com)

Thanks Adam. I'll seriously keep that in mind about shipping my bikes out before the Nationals. It's months away, but the way my life is flying by this race will be here in no time at all. Take care.
