Cabin Fever
This sub zero weather is going to turn me into an old guy who doesn't train very much this winter if this cold spell keeps up much longer. Last week was the first time in many years that I had five days in a row with no planned physical activity unless you count chasing a one year old around the house. In a way it felt good, but by the end of the week I realized that I was not put on this earth to live a sedentary lifestyle. I've got to stay active or I'll drive myself crazy along with the rest of my family. Hopefully in the next few days I can get back outside to either snowshoe, xc ski or to get a ride in as it looks like the weather will warm up to a high of twenty something today here in central Wisconsin. Pedal on...

Where you at Trans Iowa 2008? I am hoping to see everyone that was there. We are buried in snow here in northern illinois also. I don't have ski's and my Nokian Extremes are no match with over 14inches of snow. I am thinking of picking up some snowshoes to be able to do some workouts outside.

Yes, I was at TI 2008. I completed 150 miles before pulling the plug. Snowshoes and XC skis are the hot ticket here with all the snow we've gotten in the last few weeks.
