Sunday
It's hard to believe that a week has passed since getting off my mountain bike last weekend at 24-9. This last week has been very tiring and the days have me wondering if I was possibly in a fatigued induced coma. Work made time fly as we had an event this weekend that takes lots of time from our staff and some great volunteers. This morning I slept in until 6am and got my road bike out for an easy 45 miles with Mark Koepke around 9:30am in our Fall like weather. If I'm reading my body correctly, it seems that after only one week I have recovered quite well. My only complaint is from where I make contact with any bike seat and this includes anything from cars seats to couches. Wearing a pair of biking shorts for 24 straight hours can cause major damage. My plans for the rest of the season include WORS races in River Falls, Rhinelander, Shawano and Sheboygan. I'm also entered in the Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 and the IceMan Cometh. If a WEMS race fits into my work schedule I'd love to get to one of them especially if it's the Thunderdown in Merrill which is a short drive from Point. For my final thought and all you endurance freaks, THIS has been announced for 2009 already. Pedal on...
