Long Slow Distance Sunday
I finally managed to make a Summer Heartland Bike Club ride today at Rusty's Backwater Saloon where we had a large number of cyclists for the two routes that were mapped out. After an easy long ride with friends, I passed on the carb filled cold beverages and good greasy food inside at Rusty's. Skipping the post ride fun was dictated by my to-do list as I needed to pedal ten miles back home where I've been charging batteries and getting my bikes dialed in and cleaned for 24-9. It always seems that no matter how much time I give myself to get things around, I'm always scrambling around the last few days before this big race. 6 days left before we line up under the start banner and run for our bikes...
