Another Rainy Day-off
Bad weather loves me this Spring with all the different types of conditions I've had thrown at me. This morning started off with the alarm going off around 5 am. With the darkness disappearing slowly for what I had hoped to be a bright sunny day-off and again I was wrong. In was is now becoming the norm, the dark skies prevailed and won out as Mark and I had planned to leave at 6:30 am for Standing Rocks to mountain bike until I looked out the window and noticed puddles on the pavement. Like clock work my cell phone rang with Mark and I deciding to shelve the ride as the radar on weather.com caused instant depression with the amount of green showing over our area. With this killing our hopes to get into the woods and ride the singletrack this morning it looks to be a day on the pave again along with trying to wrap up my new endurance machine build in the basement if time permits. Many known and unknown activities are already haunting me after glancing at the calendar this morning. Sometime today I'm going to be bleeding my Hayes Carbon Stroker front brake after a small late night mistake where I sprayed myself with brake fluid. I deserved it since I had the TV on in the MAN CAVE and wasn't really in the bike zone at that moment. Thankfully no kids were within earshot of the nice words that daddy said very loudly.

One final note, Luna or LUNATIC as I'm calling our big Yellow Lab, survived her expensive night at the emergency vet near Wausau. After taking and consuming a bag that was on the counter containing vitamins and another prescription, she seems to be as normal(dumb) as ever. A stomach pump, blood tests, IVs and other hospital type items could've equaled a nice SRAM Rival road group for me if I were to do a cost comparison. It seems that she has no recollection at all about what went on and probably hasn't figured out why both of her front legs are as clean shaved as some cyclists legs. Pedal on...
