The BIG RING
After pre-riding what I hope was the course from the post on the WORS message board last week I have come to this conclusion. Those who do good here will be the ones that can push the BIG RING for the whole race and have done their homework with regards to training miles this year. If you can't go fast on the ski trails you'll be a sitting duck the whole race. The singletrack sections are short enough to not even factor into where you finish unless you hate singletrack. This will be a great course for newbies and should create some interesting finishes with the possibility of large packs of riders staying together. Bring on the marathon series...

Going off in another direction, checkout the review on ERGON grips at Cyclingnews.com in the Tech Quick Spins section. These grips rock!
