Commuting
Yesterdays commute with the extended route on the way home netted me a good 25 miles with my weighted down backpack full of cloths and the all important coffee thermos. This was a much needed ride after being sick for the first half of the month and it gave me a chance to check out road conditions while we still have snow on the ground. Only one stretch was wet with slush, while everything else was dry with an occassional section of pave looking like black ice. This morning I ordered a few new cycling caps from Walz Caps to help with my cold weather riding and to also experiment with these for the Trans-Iowa V3, if they are needed. I found this company from the the mtbr.com forum under endurance racing that had a thread about TI V3. No telling what the weather might be in Iowa at the end of April.
