Rain early, Sun later
Another week of wet rides with some hope on the horizon for this weekends WORS race at Alpine Valley. AV will be wet no matter what amount of sun shines down on that course from Thursday to the start of the first races. After yesterdays wet road ride, I'm starting to feel that my body has been conditioned for terrible weather this season and hopefully the sun won't be a total shock to the system. Bike prep and tire selection will be big this weekend with putty like dirt, stream crossings, slippery rocks and roots to navigate through. Maybe the weather forecast is wrong for this week?

This week will be busy again at work work with a "Bike to Work Week" seminar on Tuesday night that I'm confident will get a good number of new and regular commuters excited about cycling to work as an alternative to paying $3.00 a gallon or more for petro this summer. It's reminds me of a 2 for 1 special at a store where you can save money and improve your health without having to give a huge commitment of time or in needing a top end bicycle. Any bike that is mechaniclly efficient will work to commute on with a few add-on accesories such as fenders and lights. Throw a backpack or messanger bag over your shoulder to haul a change of cloths and let the commute begin.
