2006 WORLD SOLO 24 HOURS OF ADRENALIN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Atlanta, GA - Twenty4 sports, the race organizer that created the 24 Hours of Adrenalin series across North America, is adding the World Solo 24 Hour Mountain Biking Championships to the site of the inaugural Olympic cross-country site for 2006. The World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin Championships will take place October 6th, 7th and 8th at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Ga., the site of mountain biking's debut as an Olympic sport.

About 24 Hours of Adrenalin – In it’s 13th season the Adrenalin series has become North America’s largest mountain bike series. Starting in 1994, with one event the series grew into a twelve-stop tour with over 10,000 participants across North America. In 1999 founder Stuart Dorland created the first ever World Solo Championships, which were held in Canmore Alberta. About GIHP - Opening its gates in September of 1995, the Park has already served as the venue for the largest sporting event in the world: The 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The Park was the setting for the first ever mountain bike competition of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. Bart Brentjens, of the Netherlands and Paola Pezzo of Italy won Olympic Gold in 1996.

Ulitimate Goal
This is my ultimate goal if I can make it happen. I've qualified twice with a 2nd(2003) and 1st(2005) at the 24 hours of 9-mile and would do whatever it takes to be on the starting line come October. I've contacted 24HOA again to see if my 2005 24-9 race(July30-31) would get me in for 2006 seeing that the new qualifying dates started 14 hours after my finish on August 1st, 2005. If it doesn't, the NORBA Nationals here in Wisconsin in July will be the race to get me down to Georgia for this event.
