TRAIL NEWS
Great news for Central Wisconsin having been picked for two IMBA Trail Care Crew visits at Standing Rocks County Park in Stevens Point and at Hartman's Creek State Park in Waupaca. Point Pursuit Mtb Club & P.A.S.T.A.(Point Area Single Track Association) should have the 14 mile loop of singletrack at Standing Rocks completed by May 1st if the weather permits and we get enough volunteers on the April trail work days. The Cronies Outdoor Tribe in Waupaca is just getting the trail work moving forward with land managers and shortly we should have two great areas to ride singletrack at that are within 20 miles of each other. Props out to all the volunteer time needed to make these two projects a reality. Go Wally! Below is an article that was posted on the Dirt Rag web recently. Happy 38th B-Day Mark!

Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Schedule
By: Karl Rosengarth

Now starting its tenth year, the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew has taught sustainable trailbuilding techniques to more than 50,000 people. A typical Trail Care Crew visit lasts four days, which gives the crew time to assess local trails, meet with local clubs and land managers, host an evening event at a bike shop or other location, conduct a one- or two-day Trailbuilding School (typically on Saturday and Sunday), and squeeze in a ride with the locals. I personally recommend attending the Trailbuilding School at a Trail Care Crew visit near you. The School teaches the theory behind building sustainable trails and puts the theory, and the students, to work on a field project.
