Snow
So much for clear roads this weekend here in Central Wisconsin. I'm kind of torn between Winter and Spring as I've got many friends who live and die for the Birkie weekend at the end of February in Cable, WI. This snow should help to calm down some of the diehards as they can continue to ski locally vs. driving three hours North. A Birkie skier training without good snow in the area is comparable to a two pack a day smoker who can't find his smokes. Yesterday at the shop, we had a family wandering around trying to get any information about good places to cross country ski in the area. They were driving North from the Sheboygan area dressed and ready to hit whatever groomed trails they could find once the car doors opened. Time to bike off to work again at the Hostel Shoppe on this great Saturday. It looks to be another wet commute again. Last night the commute home was one of the worst with sleet, rain, and idiots in cars.
