ICEMAN 2005
The "NiceMan" as I have called this years race was a great way to end the season. I made it up onto the stage for awards after finishing 7th out of 62 in the 40-44 Expert class. It was great being able to hang out with my brother for a few quick days even though the 8 hour drive home seemed like a marathon event. Lately, the only biking for me has been commuting the 4.5 miles each way to work and dealing with idiot drivers. Training for 06 will begin this next week with lots of time being spent on the bike trainer in the basement and at the YMCA getting some weight training in. The big news this week has been the announcement of the 24 hour NORBA Nationals coming to 9-mile in Wausau on July 29-30, for 06. It looks like another season of training for another big 24hr solo effort as my race schedule and some goals are beginning to come together. Deciding on what bike to ride for next year will be a difficult decision also. Happy Training!
