ANOTHER CHEQUAMEGON FAT TIRE 40
My 11th Fat Tire 40 was was completed with some satisfaction and regret. I finished 67th overall/ out of 1800 hitting my goal of top 100 again, but could I have gone out harder in the beginning miles? Maybe. Finally, for the first time in three years I got safely past the rollout start and Rosie's field without any close calls or crashes. Everything about the race went good until the last few miles when my legs always scream just as you start hearing the crowd and finish line announcer. Next up this year is the last WORS race in Sheboygan in October and the IceMan Cometh in Michigan the first weekend in November.
