This will be my 4th racing journey to Michigan this season. It's always good being in my home state competing, or just to visit friends and family. My training has been a mixture of fun and suffering lately. The early morning temps have been hovering right near 40 degrees and the wind has been relentless. Darkness has taken away most of our great scenery here in central Wisco and left me with whatever my Niterider Tri-Newt light will illuminate in the direction I'm pedaling. After more than a dozen Iceman Cometh races it's somewhat of an advantage to have the course memorized, but it can also be detrimental if you're having a bad day and you know what still looms ahead on the course before the finish line. I'm hoping that this year is a good race with lots of fun afterwards with my friends! Pedal on...
