Addicted to Cycling
I'm wishing that it was spring time already as I've been having trouble staying off my bike lately.  With about three inches of new snow last night it was all the motivation that I needed to get dressed and onto my winterized single-speed mountain bike for my morning commute.  Rolling out of the garage in the winter is always interesting because you never know what the weather is really like until your tires hit the driveway along with the stinging cold wind that painfully stabs at your face.  One of my favorite routes takes me through a few neighborhoods, some snow packed trails through a park, under railroad tracks, over a river, onto a paved bike path and under I-39 on our half completed pedestrian under-pass which takes me directly into the business park where I work.  Some mornings I do explore the different neighborhood streets as I try to pack as much riding time into my commute before punching in at the time clock.   The commute home is usually always in the dark which means a direct route home as family time calls making it hard to get a longer ride in.  Tonight was an exception to the rule. I made it home for dinner with the family in plenty of time, terrorized the house with my little guy while the women were away, and managed to get permission to go out for a night ride on the trails around town with Mark and Nate for a good 90 minutes of snow plowing on single-speeds.  The only thing that could make it better right now would be sunshine and 80 degree temps.  Pedal on...

Hats off to yo Scott. I'm in Chicago right now and I know it would be hard for me to get the motivation to get out and ride. Stay strong!
