Not a Good Race Day
When you keep telling yourself during the race that "finishing last is better than quitting," most of the readers of this blog who are competitive can understand just how my day went. A 51st overall placing isn't anything to write home about and definitely not where I wanted to finish in a stacked field of elite racers from the midwest . Now it's time to focus on the Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 that's in five weeks and work on pedaling out of this funk that I've gotten myself into. Thanks to all the people cheering for this old guy during the race and a big thanks to my Adventure 212/Specialized Team for all the great support and help throughout the weekend. Pedal on...
