My Last 2 Weekends of Riding in Pictures

My blogging has been about as good as I've been feeling this past week. I decided to have a week of recreational riding vs. following my training plan. Just a normal person riding back and forth to work with a few side excursions taking the Green Circle Trail a few mornings and playing around on the island singletrack once. After my trip back to Michigan I've been feeling like some kind of sickness was attempting to invade my body. I've learned from too many years of torturing my body that it's ok to change course and take a break when a week like mine suddenly appears. Yesterday's thoughts when I wasn't chasing the kids around while shopping for Mother's Day gifts were with my friends logging laps at the Stump Farm WEMS race for fun, glory and/or Blizzard wagers. One of these days I'll make it to my 1st WEMS race if everything falls into place with family, health, and work.

The pics posted below cover my brother Mark and I riding with our good friends Hal & Pat at the Brighton Recreation Area in Michigan, my bike after the Fort Custer Stampede last weekend and today's ride at 9-Mile with Justin, Butch and Mark. I'm looking forward to this next weekend with the WORS series kicking off in nearby Iola. Iola is always a great venue for starting the season with its fan friendly course and good racer turnout. Pedal on...

I think if you choose to do a WEMS race the LaCrosse one or Underdown would both be awesome!

Those are two that I would love to do. It all depends on work, family and my other racing goals for the season.
