Summers Coming...

Last night made it the unofficial start to the weekly group rides with a four of us getting out on a Tuesday evening road ride for the first time this spring. The official start date is the first Tuesday in May from the UWSP Willet hockey arena. No real plans for the route was set, but John Brown, my brother and I escorted Chris Peariso home after he joined us for the first hour of our ride into a headwind to his house. Chris was spinning his legs out before getting on an early morning flight today to race the Sea Otter this weekend with my other Adventure 212 teammates Tom Bender and TJ Woodruff. After leaving Chris, we headed to the northeast around Amherst, back across Hwy 10 and hit up the hard side of the Morgan Hill climb. Once we descended and re-grouped it was smooth sailing west as we headed back towards Stevens Point with a good tailwind pushing us back to the Hostel Shoppe as we barely beat darkness. Nothing spectacular really happened on this ride, just a good 45 miles with friends in acceptable weather that didn't involve multiple layers of clothing and frostbite.

Yesterday, thanks to my sponsors, I also got myself registered for the NUE Mohican 100 and 24-9.

Today's agenda includes my maiden ride on my new S-Works Epic to and from work if I don't get to excited and just ride all day. Pedal on.
