More Snow = More Trainer Time

Yesterday's snowfall killed my commute home even though the conditions didn't look as severe while being delivered to my driveway by a co-worker. My stealthy off-road route getting underneath I-39 and to the bike path probably would have worked just fine if I wouldn't have given in to my wife, the blowing snow and what the parking lot looked like before leaving work at 7pm. The question I walked into from my wife after getting home was..."You didn't ride home? The streets didn't look that bad when I shoveled the sidewalk a few minute ago." My wife is the one who called and was concerned about how I was getting home. With a winter storm warning in effect and my vehicle being parked in our driveway, she probably realized that I would try to ride home. She has me figured out pretty good. After 19 years of marriage I still can't figure out what she means most of the time, but she did sound concerned enough to make me forget about riding my bike and get a safe car ride home. Will Spring ever get here? Pedal on...

Scott, me too -- we were dry when I left, but it was raining when I got home via the train with a BIG nasty red blotch on its way. I wussed out -- was worried the t-storm would get here before I got home, lowered visibility and all ... and then, "it wasn't that bad." And it was 50 degrees. Drat.

Ya know I think wives pick up where Moms leave off. Good thing too because, from what I can tell, boys never grow up. You can't tell me you don't love riding your bike as much today as you did when you were a little kid.
