WOW!

To be honest I was a bit skeptical about my 2008 endurance machine before riding the Stumpjumper at Standing Rocks with my brother on Saturday. With no Epic frame set available until mid-Summer, I elected to go with a new Stumpjumper FSR frame set for the 100 mile NUE series races and 24-9. After three quarters of a lap and a few suspension adjustments I could not believe the way this bike handled, and with 120mm of travel F & R with the BRAIN it climbed just a well as my Epic or better, and smoothed the trail out to the point where I could run over just about any obstacle in my path within reason. At 24 lbs before I go convert to tubeless and change a few other parts, this is already about half a pound lighter than my Epic from last season. I think I'm still in shock over the way it rode and I've ridden a lot of different full suspension platforms in the last nine years. This could end up being my one bike for everything this season. More ride reports to come.

I guess it's not bad to live where I do when your town makes this LIST. Point really has a lot to offer even if it does snow in the Winter. Pedal on...
