Stressful & Tiring Weekend
From the time I got out of bed this morning I knew it would be a long day as I felt a bit under the weather. With the 110k Point du Nord Spring Classic happening at 9am, I think the mounting excitement along with being somewhat scared as my family's second adoption takes place tomorrow has taken more out of me then I could have imagined both physically and emotionally. Once on my bike I had hoped that I'd snap out of how crappy I felt, but with a massive headache and being fatigued I was lucky that the pace today was slower vs. previous versions of this ride and the nine of us stayed together for the whole ride which is quite unusual. Point du Nord didn't have the classic cobblestones like today's Paris Roubaix. Instead the Hell of Central Wisconsin threw asphalt, gravel, manure, snow and ice under our wheels today with no headline grabbing stories that could be talked about afterwards while enjoying a good double espresso or hot cup of java. Great ride guys! Next weekend brings with it the Amherst Gold Spring Classic. Also, the magic number is down to 13 DAYS for TIv4.
