Rain and MORE Rain
The forecast looks pretty bleak for today and the weekend. This morning I hiked around in the local woods and swamps for almost three hours as I'm helping to re-route our local Green Circle recreational trail. It was a very wet experience when it's pouring and the wetlands were more than knee deep in spots. In a way it's good as I'll have a chance today to get a few things done around the house with the the family and work on my Trans Iowa race checklist on this very wet day off. Yesterday it was nice to get out on a easy road ride without the gusting winds that we've had for a handful of days. My race plans and logistics have been finalized for the Mohican 100 and the LumberJack 100 endurance races. For the Mohican, I'm hooking up with Lee Unwin as we both have the same ideas for lodging options and it'll be good sharing the drive time and fuel costs on a long road trip into the eastern part of Ohio.
Listen here for a preview of the Trans Iowa race as we're within one week of packing up and heading to Decorah, Iowa.

Getting pumped for TI on our end! Saturday is our prep day.
Please post your knowledge...
Where are you staying at the lumberjack?
I'm still working out the details. One is in a friends cabin and the other option would be a hotel in Manistee a short distance from the race.
