I felt as though I took a bb gun to a gun fight today as the pace kept getting faster and the wind wasn't much of an ally either. I ran out of gears, tried to fry my legs, and blocked the most wind for the guys behind me with my more upright riding position on a cx bike. I'm happy with my fitness level for late March, but after todays suffering I will definitely show up at the next Spring Classic (Waupaca Flanders) with my road bike. Pedal on...
