My first ride on the new TriCross (my Trans Iowa ride) was good after playing with what I did last year for my set-up with a few minor changes. The only negative was when I flatted towards the end of the ride and wasn't even near anything close to the gravel I experienced last year at Trans Iowa. A brand new tire with a good puncture hole after only 300 yards of gravel and many more miles of pavement today isn't very reassuring. I'm going to look at a few different tires to take with me that will hopefully be more durable over the long haul.

Soon the layers of clothing will disappear. I'm tired of spending time checking the Weather Channel for forecasts and having to spend 15-20 minutes getting dressed to ride.

Amen on the Weather, I froze this afternoon on a simple little hour ride just to see how the road bike was dialed...bike good....me frozen!
I just ordered a pair of Michelin cyclocross Jet 30mm wide, 127 TPI. If they work out, they should relpace my current TIv4 tires - WTB 32mm wides. we will see...
Looks the the road to Biron! Keep the rubber side down.

Good guess Buzza. I hope all is well with you and your family in Madtown? Scott
