Daylight Savings
I have mixed emotions about SPRINGING FORWARD with our clocks this past weekend. My late Winter/early Spring training plan is based on early morning sunrise rides that would see me out the door before 5 am on a majority of the days. With this daylight savings change it looks like my NiteRider lights and Planet Bike Superflash taillight will see more active duty sooner this season as I light myself up to warn vehicles of the crazy guy out riding a bicycle on most cold and dark mornings this Spring. With the sunrise being at 7:19 am today and with my early mornings from here out gaining about two bonus minutes of daylight per morning, it will take a month or more for the sun to rise before 6 am. It has been hard enough in the past to get people to ride early in the morning and now it will be next to impossible. I guess this could be why most of us endurance cyclists get labeled solofreaks because of our long soul cleansing solo training rides. Pedal on...
