Lots of Snow
The response below is what I didn't want to read after posting last night to find out about trail conditions at Island Lake State Recreation Area for my much needed attempt at mountain biking this morning. So with this answer, it looks like a good cup of coffee this morning with some indoor Core Performance workouts to fulfill my exercise needs. Freezing rain is already falling as I type. Today is my final Christmas gathering of this long holiday season before the endurance drive back to Wisconsin on Sunday.

I attempted to ride out there tonight. Blue was "ridable" as long as you kept your weight back, and didn't have to go up hill. But, honestly, it was just slow and tedious with the front wheel getting pulled into soft snow frequently. Even with the snowmobile tracks, the snow isn't the correct consistency and it's a tough ride. From what I could tell of the Yellow (I only checked the part near the end), there was less snowmobile traffic, and the snow was too deep to ride. We gave up and tried riding the paved path, but it wasn't plowed very well, and there were sections of that which was painful to ride as well. "
Is it Spring time yet?

I couldn't take it anymore. I rode the snowshoe trails at nine mile friday night. if you went off the hard pack you went down cause of the powder. What a fun ride though.
