After riding the new S-Works Stumpjumper FSR I'm now totally confused about what bike I'd ride next season. At 23.5 lbs for the large frame this bike is amazing. It has more more suspension travel over the S-Works Epic bikes that I've ridden for the last five years, but it handles everything on the trail just as good or better. Later in the day I jumped back on the SJ FSR 29'r again and was in awe over this bike also. I climbed, descended, jumped, mud bogged and pedaled my way through and over rocks of all sizes and shapes at whatever speed I was willing to push on these uncharted trails. Who knows what I'll ride next season. It was too much like being a kid in a candy store on this amazing trip. Thanks again to Specialized and the Western Spirit crew for treating us like royalty this week. You guys rock!

What is the suspension seatpost doing on the S-Works Stumpy?
It was a quick adjust post with a remote lever to drop the height quickly when you needed to rub your ass on the rear tire to keep from getting launched over the bars on some of the steep rutted and stair stepped downhills that we rode. Not all the bikes had these. Many times I would just stop and lower my seat on the other bikes I rode 3-4 inches if I could anticipate what we were riding.
