SUBARU CUP Teaser
Give Don Edberg lots of credit for all his hard work as he gets Nordic Mtn. ready for the SUBARU Cup a week from this next Saturday. He has spent countless hours with a few other volunteers putting together another great course to add to the many already on the WORS 12 race schedule. With the great singletrack sections that were carved out of this small ski hill you'll probably not even notice how easily you get to the top portion of the hill before making your way back to the bottom. The layout that Don came up with really makes this an awesome spectator course as the racers will make their way through the lodge area a handful of times for family, friends and any fans that they may have. Lets hope for great weather along with a good rider and spectator turnout for the weekend. I'm not sure if I can survive another mudfest or the absence of the Muddy Cup coffee trailer again. Pedal on...

MotionBased Invitation

For map and elevation chart of course click on the Motionbased logo. This may not be accurate as I had issues with my GPS.

A view from the top of Nordic Mtn.

The singletrack is going to be excellent after a few more people get out on it and ride it in.

The ski hill is half the size of Devil's Head where the last few Subaru Cups have been held.

FUN STUFF!

Rocks are available and very rideable in many of the sections without having to detour off the course to get around them.

So Scott, what do you think? Is it smooth enough for a hardtail, or is full suspension in order to smooth out the rough stuff?

wow. thanks for posting the pics. can't wait to ride it.

Once it's ridden in a hardtail should be ok. Right now the open fields in and around the parking areas are pretty rough. I could probably go either way if I had the option.

Looks like it will be a blast, nice flowing singletrack, time to get on down there. Thanks for the info.

doesn't look as filled with ROCKS as 9 mile - and should rinse down nicely in the case of more SHOWERS
