TDF Morning
It's not often I stay in bed past six in the morning, but today with having to work, I decided to relax with coffee and catch up on the Tour news as the peloton hits the Alps. My bike is all set for the WORS marathon race in Suamico, WI at the Reforestation Camp/New Zoo. I'm usually cleaning or playing around with it until dark the night before. This is one of those rare race weekends where all I have left to do is to throw my jersey, shorts, helmet and shoes in a bag and head out early on Sunday morning. This will be a good fast test of pushing the big ring for 46 miles on a course that has very little singletrack. It'll be interesting to see if my legs are willing to cooperate for two hours or more of this punishment. Tomorrow will be the last hard effort before 24-9 that's in two weeks. In a hour I'm off on my easy commute this morning with possibly a short detour to check out the triathlon that's going on at the riverfront this morning. I may have to bring out the Classic Stumpjumper to cruise around on as my choice of transportation on this dreary workday morning with baggy shorts, sandals, and rat trap pedals.
