Riding & the Beach
Got out this morning to suck down four bottles of sports drink in this heat wave we're having. Didn't go quite as far as I had planned, but with a head cold or allergies having their way with me, three plus hours was enough. I thought that I managed to make my white shoulders kind of blend in with my overly tanned biker arms with a sleeveless jersey until I looked in the mirror later at home and noticed a few red spots where I missed with the sun screen. In the afternoon we packed up the car and headed to the local county park beach for some fun and sun. The water and sandy beach were a relaxing change compared to the normal routine of traveling and racing on most summer weekends, but not much help for the bad biker tan.
