Mountain Biking?
Last nights club mtb ride at Standing Rocks was the most uncomfortable I've been on my bike in a long time. It was as though I had no flow or bike handling skills for the first nine sections of the trail. Even Point Pursuit President Wally looked smoother on the trail as he made his way through section 11 with the DR Trimmer. His effort saved myself and the others as I veered on and off the trail into the few remaining berry bushes. If whatever technical skills I had don't come back by Phillips this Sunday, it could be a long and bloody day on a course that isn't one of my favorites. I'll have to stay away from the road bike and just play in the dirt for a few days to get my mojo back if it's possible. Maybe I'll stick to prepping and cleaning my bike for the race and eliminate the chance to become trail carnage for the rest of the week.

I am with you there, two days of off-road for me, Pinky is back at the mother-ship in Waterloo, so it is time to dust the webs off the Epic and learn how to ride that bike again. I thought you might appreciate that one being a Epic guy yourself.
Shake it off, man. You're due for a day like that now and then. Remember that your bad days are career days for a lot of guys.
