Hot Week
We're finally going to see some summer like temps with this whole week being in the mid to high 80's. With the weather comes the new BKB kits that have arrived and of course a hot WORS race in Phillips this coming weekend. It's always hot at this race and I just need to make sure that my water bottle person doesn't get lost finding my feed zone area. Yesterday was a good day of riding with the Heartland Club's TRIPPER ride. At the end I had pedaled 90 miles without really any issues body or bike wise. No carnage, just a good cruise on some great back roads. Today is a recovery day with the only riding being my commute to work and back. Training miles and fun riding seem to be coming along pretty good as the 24 hour solo nationals at 9-Mile at the end of July are in sight on the distant horizon. This years goals are to be better with pit stops and to get off to a better start in the first 12 hours. My pit crew is coming together and they are probably the number one component for success in these races besides me putting in miles and keeping the pedals turning. 48 days until the gun goes off and the LeMans running start to the bikes.
