Choices
The weather sure can have an effect on bike set-up and it is constantly haunting me as I prepare for this weekend. Damn if you do, damn if you don't on picking the correct bike, tires, gearing, and what you're carrying on this 300+ mile gravel grinding journey. Whatever I choose will be final and that's what I'll deal with no matter what is thrown at us on the back gravel roads of Iowa. As I sit here posting my first instinct is to go out and ride long this morning, but with trying to rest these old legs my riding this week consists only of commuting and running errands around town. My legs and body are programed to ride long and far from all the previous weeks of training so I'm trying to stay busy with other tasks in and around home. Tonight I'll post the pics of my Trans Iowa machine after I get a few other necessary items added to it. Pedal on...
