What is it with dog owners that make them think they can have the dog off leash where the signs are posted forbidding it, yet this morning I come across a guy on a mountain bike with his dog running all over the trail, the guy has his head down and I almost went off the trail to avoid being hit. So much for a dull morning ride. The worse part of this was down the trail when I came across the fresh dog crap on the multi-use granite trail. Just what I want to see on my morning ride. I have enough dog crap to deal with at home with my two monsters, let alone from some irresponsible dog owner that can't take his dog out in public and clean up after it. This morning I also saw where a homeowner dumped two old storm doors along side the road near the university reserve. Are people just getting lazy or don't they understand the consequences that can come when they abuse trails and green areas. We just don't know how lucky we are to have these places to use for recreational activities. I just don't get it anymore.
