Posting More Often
Now that I'm listed on BikeBlogs.com I've been urged to post daily with a more realistic goal of once a week being good enough for my former fast SS neighbor Creepyfriendly. My blog seems to never get updated because I'm always reading all the other blogs. I've been following forums at mtbr.com on the Trans-Iowa V.2 and it's exciting to see how popular these types of events are becoming with the endurance crowd. Kerkove and all the others involved have put together a great event which I think will be harder to get into in future years as the word spreads. Maybe next year?
I'm in the process of planning our Spring Classic training rides which will hopefully begin March 26th with a few new routes to be unveiled. This year I want to add the L’Alpe d’ Rib route at the end of April which will be near 100 miles. The route has the group climbing Rib Mountain at the halfway point for a 2.5 mile climb at a 6.5% average grade and hitting a 10% grade about 3/4's of the way to the top. Last year we had many new faces at all the rides and hope to continue to have between 10 and 30 brave cyclist show up weekly. I'll post the schedule once it's finalized.
Tomorrows another Tuesday off starting with lifting and spinning classes at the YMCA early in the day. Last week I was the only male in a spinning class dominated by eleven fit females. Oh well...
