24-9 RECOVERY
Four days after the 24-9 and my body is starting to feel normal again. I've just done some easy commuting this week followed by a few relaxing evenings hanging out with friends. Last night I hiked through Standing Rocks taking pictures of the Wednesday night mtb group ride and we found tons of ripe black berries. Tomorrow morning will be the first training ride of the week as I'm starting to think about the Ore 2 Shore race in two weeks. This 48 mile race should seem pretty short compared to the time I recently spent on my bike. I ordered the new SRAM XO trigger shifters today. They look awesome with all the adjustment possibilities for shifting positions. These should eliminate some of the wrist pain from using the twist shifters, especially in 24 hour racing and even WORS.
